Hazardous Mitigation Plan (HMP) Meeting

Parkside Borough Council along with Parkside Emergency Management is in the process of implementing a Hazardous mitigation plan for the borough. A hazard mitigation plan (HMP) is a long-term strategy to reduce the impact of disasters on people, property, and the environment.

• Purpose

HMPs are documents that identify potential natural disasters, their risks, and actions to reduce their impact on communities.

• Benefits

HMPs can help reduce loss of life and property, economic disruption, and disaster costs. They can also help communities build resilience and access grant opportunities.

Any resident who feels their property or knows of an area in the borough that should be included in the HMP are welcome to an informational night on Tuesday October 8th at 7:00pm at borough hall council chambers.
