Kids Say the Darndest Things: April 2022 Edition
By Michael Costigan
This month, I asked my students, “What are your Spring Break plans?”
Here are their responses:
“VISIT FAMILY.”
“GO OUTSIDE.”
“GO SHOPPING AT THE MALL.”
“START RIDING MY BIKE.”
“EAT, SLEEP, AND REPEAT.”
“SLEEP.”
“BE ON THE PHONE WITH ALL MY FRIENDS.”
“SNEAK OUT OF THE HOUSE.”
“HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS.”
‘CUSTOMIZE MY CLOTHING.”
“WORK. I’M GONNA MAKE LIKE A THOUSAND-SOMETHING DOLLARS.”
“MY MOM WANTS TO SEND ME TO MEXICO.”
“DRAW REALISTIC FACES. I’M TRYING TO PRACTICE, BUT I CAN’T.”
“PROBABLY GO TO AFRICA, BUT IF NOT, RIDE MY BIKE AND PLAY FOOTBALL.”
“NOT SURE.”
“HAVE A NICE LITTLE WALK. A NICE LITTLE CHAT.”
