BOROUGH OF PARKSIDE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION

NOTICE is hereby given that the Parkside Borough Civil Service Commission will conduct a competitive examination for the position of full-time Police Officer. Applicants for said position shall possess the following minimum qualifications:

 

  1. Shall be a citizen of the United States of America.

  2. Shall be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the date of filing the application.

  3. Shall be a High School graduate or its equivalent.

  4. Shall be certified by the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission in strict accordance and compliance with the dictates of Act 120 (Codified at 53 Pa. C.S.A. §2161, et seq.)

  5. Shall be of good moral character and have no misdemeanor or felony convictions.

  6. Shall possess a current valid unrestricted Operator’s License (Except for restriction of wearing corrective lenses) issued by the government of one of the several states of the United States and shall maintain his/her license during his/her tenure as a police officer.

  7. Shall be physically, psychologically and medically fit for the performance of the duties of a police officer.

 

Applications for the position may be obtained from the office of the Parkside Borough Secretary during normal business hours at 22 E. Elbon Road, Parkside, PA 19015. Applications shall be returned in person, fully completed, with a valid driver’s license to the Municipal Building by May 5, 2025. Qualified applicants shall be so advised of the date and time for the written examination.
