OCTOBER 4 DELAWARE COUNTY E-WASTE COLLECTION IN UPLAND COUNTY PARK
Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) will host an electronics recycling collection event on October 4 to provide residents of Delaware County with a convenient and cost-effective method of responsibly disposing of televisions, computers and other electronic equipment.
The e-waste collection will take place on Tuesday, October 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Upland County Park, 280 6th Street, Upland, PA 19015.
At no cost, individuals can drop off the following electronics for recycling:
· televisions (2 TVs permitted per registration, 1 registration per person)
· computer monitors and printers
· CPU (towers), laptops, mice and keyboards
· desktop copiers and scanners; tablets, routers and modems
· home and cell phones
· cable boxes and electronic cables
· DVD players, VCRs, stereos and video game consoles
· vacuum cleaners
Participants must register in advance at www.prc.org/delcocollection or by calling 610-353-1555 x3.
“PRC provides residents with numerous options to conveniently and cost-effectively dispose of a wide variety of materials not accepted in curbside pickup,” according to PRC Executive Director Darren Spielman. “It’s important to divert these materials from landfills since many contain toxic elements that can leach into our waterways or introduce dangerous toxic chemicals into our environment, while others contain valuable recyclable materials.”
This 2022 e-waste collection campaign in Delaware County is sponsored by Delaware County Parks, County of Delaware and DELCO Sustainability in partnership with Covanta Environmental Solutions.
