Important Update: Crozer Closure and Its Impact on Parkside

Parkside Residents;

As we are all aware, Prospect Holdings is closing Crozer and Taylor hospitals. Though Mainline Health will be taking over several family services, including GYN/OB care, there are still numerous unanswered questions and concerns.

Council members and our Fire Chief Dave Lamey, along with Emergency Management Dan Smith, have been involved in numerous conversations/meetings with State Representative Kazeem and other essential government officials.

Many questions and concerns are still outstanding:   how will this effect our emergency services,  how does this effect one's health care coverage/Medicare/Medicaid, where does one go for any medical needs and so forth.

We have asked State Representative Kazeem for a list of services, for our residents, that would include such items as the various health care entities, physicians that may take other insurance carrier's coverage, employment opportunities and all other information to help guide us through this crisis.  Once we receive this information, we will post it online and have copies available at Borough Hall.

We have also requested a town meeting, with Representative Kazeem, to address your questions and concerns.  We do not have a date for this meeting, but we will keep our residents informed, once it has been scheduled.  Please pass this information on to your friends, neighbors, and family members who may not be on social media.
