Accreditation for the Parkside Borough Police Department
Accreditation is a process whereby a police agency can evaluate and improve their overall performance. It is based on standards containing a clear set of professional objectives. These objectives are reviewed and operations are adapted to meet these objectives.
May Good Neighbor Award: Janet Sadler
“Janet is always ready to help everyone! Every trash day she brings in her neighbor’s trash cans. She delivers food to her neighbors. Janet also picks up litter on our street. I have been her neighbor for 20 plus years and she is always ready to help no matter what! She even weed whacks my yard!” - Lisa Burke
Parkside Pet Corner : Frank
You can easily spot Frank going on walks with his family throughout the West side of the avenue. Frank doesn't take these tours of our neighborhood lightly. He walks the streets of his territory in order to instill a healthy dose of fear and respect in the birds, bunnies and other neighborhood cats who dare to enter his domain.

If you could have someone follow you around all the time, like a personal assistant, what would you have them do?
Easter Fun
On Friday, April 8th, our youngest residents came together to dye and decorate some eggs and take part in Easter-themed games. The following day, April 9th, was our annual Easter egg hunt. The kids were divided into three age groups: 3 and under, 4 to 7, and 8 to 12.

Parkside Pet Corner : Marshall Erikson

A Parkside Streaming Movie Review: Murderville (Netflix)
The show contains some language that would not be allowed during prime-time network shows, but I found it appropriate for my teens and we watched it as a family, one episode each day. It is repetitive enough that it may not be good for bingeing. We laughed a lot and enjoyed discussing the clues we were given along the way to see who could correctly identify the murderer.
A Parkside Movie Review: The Batman
There are a couple of twists and changes here with the narrative but anyone who has followed the cannon of the Batman’s mythology knows that is nothing the Bat can’t handle. These changes, some subtle and some less so, work to flush out the story beautifully.
Spring Awakens with Color
In early March, before the buds begin to emerge on the bare branches of trees, crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths and tulips bloom. Yellow, pink, blue, and white flowers bring hope that winter is nearly over and spring is on the horizon.
